Join a CRD Regional Parks’ naturalist for a hike near the Sooke River to learn interesting natural and cultural history along the way. Wear sturdy shoes, pack a lunch and bring your camera if you have one. Meet at the information kiosk in parking lot 1.

British Columbia’s Magnificent Parks

Join BC Bestselling author James D. Anderson as he presents stories and fascinating information from his book British Columbia’s Magnificent Parks: The First 100 Years ($44.95, Harbour Publishing).

James will present photographs and information about the development of the BC Park System at the Oak Bay branch of the Greater Victoria Public Library—Oak Bay located at 1442 Montery Avenue—on Thursday, October 13th, at 7pm. Admission is free.
